Description
The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), located in Jackson, MS, seeks a BC/BE full-time Electrophysiologist to join our faculty. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications. Duties include ambulatory electrophysiology practice, inpatient electrophysiology consultations with fellows, and electrophysiology procedures. The Division of Cardiovascular Diseases is currently seeking an electrophysiologist with a contemporary and advanced skill set to help expand our comprehensive and growing practice.
UMMC is Mississippi’s only academic medical center with over 700 licensed beds and more than 10,000 employees. It is also affiliated with two community hospitals. The Division of Cardiovascular Diseases provides comprehensive and advanced care, including ambulatory and inpatient cardiology, advanced cardiovascular imaging, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, coronary and peripheral interventional, structural heart disease interventions, and advanced heart failure, including transplant and ventricular assist device therapies. Our electrophysiology program provides the spectrum of procedures, including device implantation, ablations, and lead extraction. The Division is part of the Cardiovascular Service Line, which shares close collaborations with Cardiovascular Surgery, Transplant, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Radiology. The Heart Center is located centrally on campus and houses state-of-the-art electrophysiology labs.
