- BC/BE Noninvasive Cardiologist
Description
The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), located in Jackson, Mississippi, seeks a BC/BE noninvasive cardiologist with a strong interest in ambulatory and inpatient cardiology, noninvasive cardiovascular imaging, and procedures, including stress testing and transesophageal echo. Duties would include a mix of ambulatory cardiology clinic, attending on the inpatient cardiology and inpatient cardiology consult services, and reading echo and nuclear studies. We also have opportunities for cardiovascular telehealth and satellite clinics. The Division’s weekend and weekday call is shared between faculty.
UMMC is Mississippi’s only academic medical center with over 700 licensed beds and more than 10,000 full – and part-time employees. It is also affiliated with two community hospitals. The Division of Cardiovascular Diseases provides comprehensive and advanced care, including ambulatory and inpatient cardiology, advanced cardiovascular imaging, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, coronary and peripheral interventional and structural heart disease interventions. UMMC is also the state’s only advanced heart failure program, including ventricular assist device and heart transplant programs. The Division is part of the Cardiovascular Service Line, which shares close collaborations with Cardiovascular Surgery, Transplant, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Radiology.
