A busy cardiology group in Odessa is looking for a cardiologist ready to step into immediate volume with a flexible practice model, strong APP support, and a cath lab expansion already in the works. Whether your background is general or interventional, the structure here accommodates both, and the compensation reflects the demand.
Practice Details
- Cardiology group with interventional and general cardiologists supported by inpatient and outpatient APPs
- Mix of general cardiology and procedural work, including diagnostic caths, pacemakers, and STEMI care
- On-site diagnostic center and cath lab with multiple procedure rooms and planned expansion
- High referral volume with current wait times for new patients signaling genuine unmet demand
- An optional academic appointment is available for physicians interested in education and mentoring
Schedule
- Flexible weekly structure with approximately three to four clinic days and two cath lab days
- Call rotation of 1:5 with one weekend per month and interventional backup support
- APPs handle the majority of inpatient rounding and consults
- Optional clinic coverage at additional locations, with travel time reimbursed
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed base salary of $600,000 for general cardiology with RVU production incentives
- $750,000 salary guarantee available for interventional cardiology, plus production
- Annual quality incentive with negotiable signing and relocation support
- 30 days PTO, CME funding and time, and retirement plan with matching
- Licensure, DEA, and professional expenses reimbursed
- H-1B sponsorship available
Candidate Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- General or interventional cardiology background welcome
- Open to new graduates and experienced physicians
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure
