A growing cardiovascular program in Lawrence, Kansas is looking for an interventional cardiologist ready to step into a role with real procedural volume, Impella support, and a second cath lab on the way in 2026. This is a program actively investing in its future, and the physician who joins now will have a genuine hand in shaping what it becomes.
Practice Details
- Developing an interventional team with one full-time and one part-time interventional cardiologist, supported by APPs, medical assistants, RNs, and dedicated heart care navigators
- Broad range of interventional procedures with Impella support available
- One fully operational cath lab with a second lab opening in 2026
- Program intentionally designed to grow in both volume and procedural complexity
Schedule
- Monday through Friday clinic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Rotation between clinic responsibilities and cath lab time
- Call averages approximately 10 days per month, with non-call days focused on outpatient care and continuity
Compensation & Benefits
- Robust base salary with strong earning potential and a generous sign-on bonus
- 42 days of combined vacation and CME time annually
- $8,500 CME allowance with reimbursement for Kansas medical license and DEA fees

Candidate Profile
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Comfortable performing a wide range of interventional procedures across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Interest in contributing to the growth and direction of a developing program
