Practice Overview
All current providers have ties to North Dakota and enjoy outdoor activities.
Average of 9000 visits per year, approximately 25 daily.
The team operates under a long-standing autonomous governance structure, fostering strong collaboration and flexible scheduling.
A fully physician-staffed team each covers approximately 145 12-hour shifts per year.
9-room ED with 2 trauma bays, stroke and cardiac-ready certifications, and direct access to radiology
Procedures include ultrasound, central lines, airway management, and trauma response.
On-site services: general surgery, anesthesia, OB/GYN, radiology, orthopedics, and pediatric consults
Schedule
12-hour shifts: 6a-6p and 6p-6a, with scheduling flexibility and input on preferred shifts
No clinic responsibilities; 100% emergency department coverage
Weekend and holiday shifts are shared equitably among the team
Full-time is approximately 12 shifts/month
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly wage, resulting in average annual compensation of $420,000
Flexible scheduling based on provider needs. $25,000 sign-on bonus
$7,500 CME allowance, $10,000 relocation assistance, and malpractice coverage included
401(k) with matching contributions
Candidate Requirements
Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
New grads from 2025 or 2026 welcome; experienced candidates also encouraged
Comfortable managing trauma, stroke, cardiac, and psychiatric presentations
Able to work independently in a rural hospital setting
