Description

Offsite Care, a Santa Rosa, CA, based multispecialty telemedicine organization, is seeking cardiologists to provide inpatient telecardiology services. This involves providing consults on ED and inpatients using a mobile cart with 2-way AV interaction and an e-stethoscope. We are currently working in one California hospital and are looking to expand to other facilities.  There are 5-10 consults per 24 hours (only urgent consults after 9 PM). Additionally, rounding is done on the consulted patients (rarely more than 3 or 4). Telecardiology reads the echoes (7-10/day) and overreads all the ED EKGs (80-90).

The compensation is $1725 daily stipend from the hospital plus 80% of collections. Shifts are 24 hours but can be divided into 7AM-7PM and 7PM-7AM. For a daytime-only shift, the compensation is $1300 plus 80% of collections. Nighttime compensation is $425 plus 80% of collections. The daytime cardiologist rounds and reads the echoes and EKGs.

Offsite Care keeps track of all physician services for charging purposes, pays all credentialling costs, and provides malpractice coverage (telemedicine only). Scheduling is very flexible.
