Description:
For over 20 years, Interventional Radiology Specialists (doing business as Point Interventional online) has provided patient centered, clinical interventional radiology care to the Washington, Pennsylvania area. This is a hospital based private practice operating out of Washington UPMC and Advanced Surgical Hospital.
We are seeking a new full time, onsite interventional radiologist to help with our expanding practice.
Practice Highlights:
This job stands out because of its independent nature from diagnostic radiology and its clinical focus. We run clinic five days a week with thoughtful, often longitudinal care for our patients. Our practice currently excels at peripheral arterial disease, aortic intervention, spine intervention, superficial venous disease management, and pain intervention. We have a growing oncology and elective embolization presence in a geographically untapped area as well.
While we are a clinically robust independent IR group, this is still a hybrid job with some diagnostic responsibilities. We read all vascular lab studies for our hospital producing a synergistic effect for our PAD practice. We read all studies related to our procedures as well as hospital CTA's with examples including MRI spine for our vertebroplasty cases, CTA for our PAD and aortic cases, and US for our superficial venous disease.
We also work with an orthopedic surgery hospital performing arthrograms and reading Musculoskeletal MRI.
We provide high level, complex care without a high call burden. We are not a level I trauma center. Call volume is sparse with cases usually involving acute limb ischemia and pulmonary embolic care.
What You'll Do:
-Perform high complexity IR procedures in a environment where clinical IR is supported and of the utmost importance
-Read vascular lab studies, CTA's, MRI arthrograms, and additional practice related studies
-Run a robust daily hospital based clinic with APP support
Practice Highlights:
-IR practice for IR's: this a private practice run by IR's who value clinically robust and patient centered IR over diagnostic productivity
-High complexity peripheral arterial disease, aortic intervention, spine intervention, superficial venous disease management, and pain intervention procedures
-Growing elective embolization and oncologic practice
-Single hospital coverage with a light call burden
-Dedicated nursing and technologist staff with low turnover and no travelers
