A hospital-employed cardiology program in Alabama is seeking an interventional cardiologist looking to practice high-quality medicine without the demanding schedule typically associated with the specialty. With a brand-new cath lab, low STEMI volume, and flexible scheduling, including a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off option, this role offers a rare balance of clinical excellence and personal time.
Practice Details
- Single-physician cardiology practice with dedicated RN support and optional scribes
- Brand-new 2023 cath lab with GE equipment and nuclear stress testing capabilities
- Broad cardiology scope including hypertension, heart failure, and stress echocardiography
- Minimal STEMI volume, no structural heart program, and opportunity to help shape the direction of both general and interventional cardiology services
Schedule
- Monday through Friday with no nights, no weekends, and no holidays
- Primarily clinic-based with scheduled procedural time in the hospital cath lab
- Flexible scheduling options including two weeks on and two weeks off
- Support staff handle prep and coordination to keep the days running efficiently
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at $750,000 with wRVU incentives pushing total comp past $1 million
- $75,000 sign-on bonus and up to $15,000 in relocation assistance
- Loan repayment available up to $1,000 per month for the duration of employment
- Full benefits including malpractice with tail, medical, dental, vision, and CME support
Candidate Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Comfortable balancing clinic responsibilities with scheduled cath lab procedures
- Interest in a stable, long-term role with room to grow
