Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient breast imaging
• Adults only patient population
• Full range of screening and diagnostic breast imaging, with established backlog
• Strong on site support, team of radiologist MDs plus mammographers and rad techs

Schedule

• Weekdays only, Monday through Friday
• Daytime shifts, 8a to 4p or 8a to 5p
• No call
• Credentialing varies by site, about 1 month for the imaging center and about 3 months for the hospital if onsite

Cases and Procedures

• Onsite volumes typically include 30 screening mammograms, 40 diagnostic exams, 6 breast MRIs, and 4 image guided procedures per day
• If onsite, biopsies, localizations, breast MRI, and breast ultrasound
• If remote, emphasis on live diagnostic reads with immediate virtual patient consults following suspicious findings
• Radiologist communicates findings and recommendations directly to patients requiring biopsy, with breast navigators coordinating follow up and next steps

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Radiology
• New York license required
• BLS, DEA, and MQSA required
